Kilo-Watt (KW) Kilo-Watt-hour (KWh) Kilo-Joule (KJ)

Watt = measure of power; instantaneous snapshot of energy flow. 1 Kilo-Watt = 1000 watts

1 Kilo-Watt of power transferred over 1 hour = 1 Kilo-Watt-hour. in India, 1 KWh is a ‘unit’

1 Joule, measure of energy = 1 W-sec, 1 watt of power transferred over 1 second

1 Kilo-Joule = 1000 Joules

W, KW = instantaneous snapshots of energy transfer, which is nothing but power

J, KJ, KWh = measures of energy transferred over a period of time
